Maura McGuire

Maura C. McGuire is a partner at Adams Leclair LLP, where her practice is focused on high-stakes commercial litigation and complex real estate disputes. She represents a broad range of clients—including property owners, developers, managers, and business entities—in matters involving contract disputes, business torts, and property-related litigation.

Maura has particular experience litigating issues central to real property ownership and use, including quiet title actions, boundary and easement disputes, adverse possession claims, and matters involving land use, zoning, and regulatory compliance. She regularly advises clients on New York real property law and represents them in proceedings before state and local agencies, as well as in state and federal courts.

Before joining Adams Leclair, Maura was a partner at Morgenstern DeVoesick PLLC and practiced at Harter Secrest & Emery LLP. She earned her J.D. from George Mason University School of Law, following undergraduate studies at Binghamton University.

Maura has been recognized for her legal skill and commitment to client advocacy. She was named to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America™ in 2022, 2023, and 2024 for Commercial Litigation, and has been selected to the Super Lawyers Upstate New York Rising Stars list every year since 2017.

A lifelong Upstate New Yorker, Maura grew up in Spencerport and now resides in Brighton with her partner, Justin, and their two sheepadoodles.
