Adams Leclair’s “Construction Update” Provides Valuable Industry Information
October 16, 2024
For the second consecutive year, lawyers from Adams Leclair’s construction law team offered a conference to clients and friends concerning the latest updates on legal issues and legislative initiatives facing construction companies.
“Laws and regulations within the construction industry are constantly changing,” said Steven Cole, Managing Partner of Adams Leclair. “This conference gives us the opportunity to share up-to-date information with the attendees, and provide our colleagues an opportunity to obtain answers from lawyers whose primary focus is construction law.”
The half-day “Construction Update” included sessions on Prevailing Wages in Private Work, Project Labor Agreements, the latest EEOC guidance on dealing with harassment on jobsites and tips on dealing with Project Delays, Delay Claims, Liquidated Damages and Surety Relations.
In addition, the luncheon speaker, Joe Hogan, Vice President of the Associated General Contractors provided detailed information on new legislation and regulatory activities impacting construction companies in New York.
“It was great to have an insider’s perspective on what’s happening in state government,” remarked partner Anthony Adams. “During the sessions, we often said, ‘Time is money’ and ‘No one likes surprises’. Joe reiterated that and gave terrific insight. I think we are all much better prepared for legislative changes that are coming down the pike.”
Adams Leclair LLP expects to host a third “Construction Update” in October 2025. If you would like to be on the invitation list, please call 585-327-4100 or email the firm at info@adamsleclair.law.
