Adams Leclair Welcomes Kelly Geary as New Partner
January 5, 2026
Adams Leclair LLP is pleased to announce Kelly Geary’s promotion to partner as of January 1, 2026. This achievement reflects both her exceptional legal judgment and the disciplined work ethic which she has demonstrated since joining the firm in 2024.
Geary concentrates her practice in construction and surety law, employment matters, and insurance defense. She has earned a reputation for thorough preparation, thoughtful analysis, and steady advocacy in complex litigation matters.
“Kelly consistently shows the professionalism and commitment it takes to be an effective litigator,” said Ted Baum, partner at Adams Leclair and Geary’s mentor. “She approaches every matter with precision and care. Her promotion to partner is well deserved.”
A graduate of Union College and Vermont Law School, Geary was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2016 and to the Western and Northern Districts of New York in 2019 and 2021, respectively. Her representative experience spans construction, commercial and railroad-related disputes including significant matters such as The Pike Company, Inc. v. Universal Concrete Products, Inc. and Storonsky v. National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak).
In November, Geary received the prestigious Honorable Judith S. Kaye Scholarship. This is a statewide honor from the Commercial and Federal Litigation Section of the New York State Bar Association designed to foster the advancement of women in the courtroom.
Earlier in the year, Geary was named to the 2026 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America® for Litigation – Construction.
Geary is active in the legal community through her involvement with the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, GRAWA, and the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel. She also devotes volunteer time to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rochester.
As a partner at Adams Leclair, Geary will continue to play an important role in fostering the firm’s construction and commercial litigation practice, bringing a thoughtful, client-focused approach to complex legal challenges.
