Adams Leclair Welcomes New Associate Kori Simon

August 12, 2025

Adams Leclair is pleased to welcome Kori Simon as a new associate attorney whose goal is to continue developing her skills as a litigator alongside the team at Adams Leclair.

Previously, Kori worked as an Appellate Court Attorney for the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Fourth Department, drafting reports and legal recommendations across civil, criminal, and family law matters. She also served as an Assistant Public Defender in Monroe County, where she represented hundreds of clients and gained valuable experience handling hearings, trials, and plea negotiations.

Kori is drawn to litigation for the variety and intellectual challenge it offers. “There’s always a new issue to explore and tackle in litigation,” she says. “I love that I get to make creative arguments and use those arguments to advocate on behalf of my clients.”

Kori was born in Portugal and as part of a military family, she moved often.  She lived in Hawaii and the Southern U.S. before earning her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Auburn University in Alabama.  She went on to graduate from Cornell Law School, where she served as Acquisitions Editor for the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy.

Outside of work, Kori practices Lyra, a form of aerial acrobatics performed on a suspended hoop. “It’s physically demanding and takes a lot of persistence to master a move—but the reward is worth it when you finally get it,” she explains.  She also enjoys running, visiting local museums, and exploring Rochester, where she’s lived for the past three years.

Please join us in welcoming Kori to the firm!
