Adams Leclair LLP proudly announces that attorney Kelly Geary has been selected as a recipient of the Hon. Judith S. Kaye Commercial and Federal Litigation Scholarship, a statewide honor recognizing exceptional skill and dedication among emerging women commercial litigators.

The scholarship provides Geary with the opportunity to attend the Women on the Move: Empowering and Celebrating Women Commercial Litigators program in New York City on November 19th.

The event features a dynamic mock trial re-enactment of a real civil commercial case, complete with opening and closing statements, examinations of witnesses, and critiques from members of the judiciary. Esteemed judges, including Justice Robert Reed, Judge Mae D’Agostino, and Judge Shira S. Scheindlin (Ret.), will offer feedback and practice insights to participants.

Following the trial presentation, the program will honor distinguished women litigators with the Hon. Shira A. Scheindlin Award for Excellence in the Courtroom and present the Judith S. Kaye Scholarships to this year’s recipients, including Kelly Geary.

“Kelly’s recognition as a Judith Kaye Scholar is a testament to her dedication, intellect, and advocacy in commercial litigation,” said Ted Baum, a partner at Adams Leclair. “We are proud to see her talents recognized on such a distinguished statewide platform.”

Geary is a graduate of Vermont Law School. She joins a select group of accomplished attorneys honored by the Commercial and Federal Litigation Section of the New York State Bar Association, which created the scholarship to foster the advancement of women in the courtroom and to honor the legacy of the late Chief Judge Judith S. Kaye.
