Associate Emily Uhlig selected to MCBA Leadership Academy
December 12, 2022
Emily Uhlig, an associate with Adams Leclair LLP, has been selected to the inaugural class of the Monroe County Bar Association Leadership Academy. She and the other inductees were acknowledged during the annual MCBA Bench & Bar Holiday Reception at the Memorial Art Gallery on December 7, 2022.
The program launches in January and is designed to elevate attorneys recognized by their employers, nominators, and the Leadership Academy’s Steering Committee as having the intellect, drive, and passion to become leaders in the Rochester community.
“Emily has great skills and positive energy that will contribute to the Leadership Academy.” said Adams Leclair’s COO, Carin Cole. “After finishing law school in California, Emily made her way east to begin her legal career.
“This is a great opportunity to connect with colleagues in Rochester and become part of a group of young professionals that will help shape the future of our community. We are very excited for Emily to be selected into this esteemed group.”
The goal of the Leadership Academy is to expose participants to a broad and diverse, cross-section of leaders in Monroe County and the City of Rochester. These individuals are well-known and highly recognized in the business, education, political, judicial, legal, and healthcare fields and are ready to nurture the next generation of leaders.
“It makes sense to expose young professionals to potential mentors and provide experiences that will enhance their connections to our community,” said Cole.
Emily recently executed an event to foster sisterhood among members of the Greater Rochester Association of Women Attorneys (GRAWA) and is looking to take on additional volunteer leadership roles in 2023.
