Adams Leclair LLP is pleased to welcome Catalina McHugh as the newest member of its paralegal team.

McHugh is a native of Texas and developed plans for a legal career while interning with De Mott, McChesney, Curtright, and Armendariz in San Antonio. 

“I am very passionate about immigration issues so I thought an immigration law firm would be a great place to start,” explained McHugh. “I even worked remotely while finishing my undergraduate degree and that experience cemented my desire to eventually become an attorney.”

McHugh received a history degree from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland and used that four-year period as an opportunity to travel throughout Ireland and Europe. She met many people from different cultures, including her boyfriend who is from Rochester, N.Y.

After graduation, she moved to Dallas to continue expanding her skills outside of immigration law. She continued to gain experience and progress to the paralegal position at Nicolaides Fink Thorpe Michaelides Sullivan LLP.

“My favorite aspect about working in a law firm is the sense of accomplishment that comes from assisting clients navigate complex legal matters,” reflected McHugh. “I enjoy the dynamic nature of the work environment and the continuous learning opportunities within the legal field.”
