Lauren Maddox Selected for Monroe County Bar Association Leadership Academy

December 5, 2024

Associate Lauren Maddox has been selected to participate in the 2025 Monroe County Bar Association Leadership Academy which launches in January.  Lauren and several other participants from this cohort were introduced during the MCBA Bench-Bar Holiday Party held at the George Eastman House.

“I’m excited to join this unique group of lawyers who are committed to understanding the issues in our community and expanding their professional roles to become leaders of this community,” explained Lauren who is originally from Miami but has recently settled in her husband’s hometown.

“When we hired Lauren, we recognized Lauren’s desire to be a community leader, so it made sense to support her application to the Academy,” acknowledged partner Paul Leclair.

Six sessions will be held between January and June of 2025. Participants will be exposed to a diverse selection of leaders in the County of Monroe and the City of Rochester. All of them are well-known and highly recognized in business, education, political, legal, social service, and healthcare fields.

Lauren is the second associate from Adams Leclair to participate in the Monroe County Bar Association Leadership Academy since its inception in 2023. The inaugural class of the Leadership Academy in 2023 included another associate from Adams Leclair, Emily Uhlig.

“We encourage all our attorneys to take advantage of building their community connections and learning from respected leaders.  We hope Lauren enjoys the experience and gets as much out of the program as Emily did,” said partner Paul Leclair.

Most participants accepted into the MCBA Leadership Academy have between 3 -10 years of practice experience. A graduation celebration will be held in June of 2025.
